That’s really sweet! You could also try getting to know her a bit more, and then invite her over for dinner every now and then to catch up. That way, you’re still helping her and she won’t necessarily feel like she’s being pitied.

She's ashamed (as you can guess by her reaction) so she does her tour pretty quickly and I don't see myself interrupting her. She seems to live in an appartment nearby but I don't know exactly where. (Plus I wouldn't know what to say, I'm not really good at talking to strangers and I can make awkwardness out of almost every situation^^)
