The Old Testament and Torah are basically the same books give or take some translations and edits through time. The Quran contains many of the same events and people as the old and New Testament. Much of each of the "abrahamic" religions borrow from each other's holy books and other holy scriptures or even share. People often say "their religion says this!!!" And poitnto a passage. But if you single out passages from any book or take any statements without context you can do that. You just understand that certain passages onlnapply to very specific times or places, some literally only to that one situation. For instance the Quran does talk about killing infidels- but it also specifically states Christians are brothers and should be aided. Where all this confusion comes from is when people cherry pick passages and translations they then use to justify their own agendas. The logic of the books is consistent- they say: "don't be a jerk."
