they use dogs too, as the pigs tend to eat the truffles they find

Yeah I’m with guest. Have anybody out there in FS land ever tried them an if so what’s y’alls take on them? Is it an acquired taste or is it a taste that just gives you an atomic drop to your knees orgasim? Cause I’ve heard from some online that they liked them. Some said they rather eat a pile of poo. Some even said they would kill for another bite. Don’t know any buds in real life that have tried them.

I've had a truffle before. It wasn't anything to write home about. Tasted like a hint of soil mixed with regular mushroom flavor. I prefer Portobellos.

prepared right, truffles have a strong flavour to them and not much is needed, white truffles are rarer, hence why more expensive

it's not my thing, didn't like the taste, i think it's more an acquired liking, but i think it's also the status of eating it as well

The restaurant I work at serves gnocchi with a little bit of truffle oil (a little bit is all you need, that stuff is potent), and it’s like heaven in a creamy potato pasta. Even smelling it go by makes my mouth water. It’s not really an acquired taste, you either like it or you don’t.
