In my mind, having the door closed kept all of the spooks away. Except for the ones that lived in the closet, under my bed, and the one that actually hid in my toybox
In my nightmares, I had a demonic cookie monster living in there that only materialized at night.
...yes I used to be scared of cookie monster when I was a little Ew. Tbh there was also a demonic Ernie that I claimed lived under my bed, and idk where that stemmed from bc I loved Ernie. It was probably just some nightmare I had once
Doggo used to have run of the house including kiddo’s room. With doggo gone now kiddo still wants it open so she doesn’t feel trapped she’s not sleeping as well without doggo.
My sister has to sleep with the door open, I can't sleep unless it's closed. My logic has always been, I'll be able to hear anyone coming in or I will be the only one trapped with them if they come through the window so they won't be able to hurt my family. I also don't like the light coming from the hallway.
Exactly! As the middle child with my older sibling in a different state and with my parents at work every night, I feel that it's my moral duty to protect my little sister the best I can, even to the death (God forbid). If they came through the window I would fight tooth and nail to keep them away from my sister. I live in a semi-rough neighborhood with windows shut, locked, and blinds closed. Sometimes I think I would die for her safety and happiness. My doorknob is old and creaks so if someone comes in I will immediately be aware and can grab my baseball bat or knife. My family being safe is my first priority.
I am exactly the same. I would die to protect my little sister, I've told her this and she said she'd do the same. My biggest fear is harm coming to my family.
