I was in grade 11 and I was sitting at the dinner table with my parents. I'm eating and all of a sudden my mother goes 'let's talk about sex' and almost spat out my food. That was not the place or the time mom. Should have done it sooner - the internet already taught me everything by that point.
I don’t understand the hesitation parents have. I spoke to my daughter about it when she was 8. I’d rather her hear it from me first and get good information than her classmates and get inaccuracy.
At 10 I knew everything LIKE EVERTHING!!! But the only thing I didn’t know or believed was after that much movement downstairs that you don’t have to pee.
I was told everything from a very young age, rule was "if you have a question Mum or Dad will answer it". Made learning about all that very easy and not uncomfortable because I was the one who was curious and initiated it
A lot of people *think* they know everything there is to know about it, and have been given some very wrong information either by the Internet or by their equally ignorant friends. It's scary the number of people who actually believe things like "you can't get pregnant your first time."
Knows everything through the internet
Hasn't gotten (anyone) pregnant or STDs
