I was born in 1998 so I consider myself to be a 2000s kid, even though I hated the era and only listened to R&B. So you are only a 90s kid if you have memories early enough to remember it

Agreed. I was born 1989, but considered myself a 90's kid because I don't remember the few months in the 80's when I was a baby. It's more a matter of memories than it is a matter of clear-cut dates.
