Why would you stand still in the middle of the crosswalk, idiot

But also, why would you not stop or slow down when you see the dumbass standing there?

I would assume the glare of the light made it hard to see the idiot to stop on time. Plus the idiot is on his phone.

Oh, I know he's an idiot, and a dumbass. My guess is he was on his phone, not paying attention and thought he had reached that median about 3 feet away. But while the glare is very strong for the camera lens, I doubt its that bad in reality. It does also beg the question of what the hell that is.

Ooooo good point about the glare but as for him to think he is on the other of the sidewalk feels a bit far fetched.

Not with those kinds of crosswalks, especially if you are an idiot not paying attention. There isn't really a curb, the walk goes straight through the median. Usually there is another button to push so you have to wait for the next light cycle, which is why I'm inclined to think this is the case. I've actually seen another pedestrian for doing the same thing where I used to live, but it was daytime and no cars coming.

What is the light ? Could road construction work lights, or maybe someone's high beams. I hope that if he sues, that the fact of standing in the road at night makes him loose the lawsuit and get a bill for the car repairs and blocking the road.
