Aw this touched my heart. I'm not even a mom but I will always love seeing mom helping each other out.

It's all about the energy someone has and children are very perceptive to this. If they feel someone means them well and especially if they can't get a kind of comfort they need at the moment from someone they know (parent) they will seek it in others and accept comfort from strangers.

Wow. Maybe that's why I felt such a strong pull to the moms of my best friends during my childhood. I think I had sort of a gut feeling that since my mom couldn't take care of my siblings and I, let alone herself, that these familiar women in my life would be capable, loving, and kind mother figures to me. Crazy how you begin to unravel everything years after the fact, no?

Nice woman but I could never do this. I’d feel too awkward asking a stranger if they need me to comfort their child
