I sent this to my boyfriend after he left to go play video games for the rest of the night and ignore me. Needless to say, he came back and hung out with me C:
People need self time. If that's sitting and playing video games all night well fuck let the dude play video games. You don't need to be his entire focus 100% of the time. If you were I'd have to drop a red card.
Depends on the situation though. My first boyfriend was a gamer - I'm cool with that and all, but if I come over to visit him (he knew I'd come) and then he'll let me lay there alone on his bed while gaming and ignoring me for hours, then yes, I'm pissed. It's something else if you live together maybe.
It depends on how ya define ignoring in this situation. If ya mean completely forgetting you exist and acting like you ain't even there yea that's a might bit rude. Personally a nice night would be sitting and doing my own thing next to an SO with back, legs, sides, or something touching while they do their own thing with words, kiss, etc. every now and then and I know quite a few people that would consider that being ignored.
There are those think games are super amazing, and those that are WRONG. Seriously tho, what's wrong with sitting and just being with each other doing ya own thing? That's like my favorite thing, friends, family, SO whatever it's like the best.
Because sometimes what people mean by ignore is that we will litteraly ignore someone.
I do that with my girlfriend, and I don't think its bad.
But to be fair, we have been 'living together' the past month (not a permanent arrangement, she just finished her UNI and no longer has a dorm, and was staying in the country for one more month, and I happened to still have my room.
But I work a full time job, while she is now in holidays, so while she has all day to do w/e she wants by herself,I wake up at 7.30 after spending the night with her, then go to work, come back home and she is here. So you bet your ass at some point I'm gonna want some time to myself and I mean REALLY myself. No cuddling, holding hands, not talking once every 5 minutes to exchange an anedocte, because that would mean a part of me has to be paying attention to her, and i just want to lose myself in doing my own thing 100%, even if my thing is as trivial as watching a youtube video or playing games.
