I LOVE my job, I usually do it 16+ hours per day until my eyes bleed. I believe it's the same with Japanese people. When you actually love what you do, no amount of time is too much to do it. I only feel bad when there's nothing to do and my workload shifts suddenly from busy to a slow day. I guess they're workaholics like I am, it doesn't have anything to do with mindfulness. Mindfulness is coming into a room together with a colleague and letting them first to use coffee machine or to access the fridge. Keeping doors open for others when they approach, or giving them a compliment when they're feeling down. Kindness is so rare these days unfortunately that it's considered flirting by most.
