Speaking of which, I'm going to own my house at age 18.

Congrats. If I don’t go on holidays too much, and I keep my job, I’ll have one in my 20s

Good men. I figured they’d volunteer if they hadn’t already.

I'm good. I'm taking it better than most everyone else in my family.

I am sorry that you lost your mom. You seem to be a pretty intelligent young man . I hope that you do well with the home ownership.

I’ve always told my family to wrap my naked body in newspaper and throw me in a swamp.

At least they'll be able to see the gators fight over your dead corpse.

See? They better charge strangers to watch. That’s the circle of life. Mufasa wouldn’t want it any other way.

So we should see an upswing in what, another 100-150 years? Oh goodie.

I have no idea why OP wants this to be a pattern when you won't even be alive to see it. Why not hope for something better in the future, more permanent?

Better things might come around if we planned long-term and stopped thinking about whether an action would benefit us immediately. Btw our standard of living compared to the 60s is ludicrously higher. People take so many conveniences as necessity that they trap themselves on a hamster wheel trying to pay for it all.
