The current generation is causing non-replacement status population wise. Hopefully that continues on a small enough gradient for a while and eventually evens out at a less overpopulated state. Also hopefully by that point (would be a long time) we would have gotten further advancements in space survival and such for potential colonies.

Amend that to the current generation in a couple of affluent countries. Most of the world is still well over replacement level.

Non-replacement state in the countries that tech advancement for space colonization is a possibility. Any others aren't worth noting in context.

I have a very unpopular opinion : I think we should definitely stop helping people who wants their own children (artificial insemination and stuff) and rather encourage them to adopt. :/
