Well that is not the case here. In fact not in the ones I have been too. There are janitors who keep the place clean which also includes picking up the plates and cleaning the tables.
I wasn't aware that this was a thing.
It depends on the country. In some countries, fast food restaurants hire janitors whom responsibilities include cleaning up this mess. Need to understand and respect the custom though.
Imagine if you walked in a place and none of the tables were clean because everyone just left their shit and people were too busy making your food to clean up after grown children who think they're too good to clean up after themselves.
I agree with anthracite on the semantics. +where I live you clean up your mess at fast food joints, but not at restaurants, you're supposed to live it as it pictured here. (There are no visible trashbins in restaurants anyways).
