So I was vaccinated against measles and ended up getting full blown measles after the vaccination , doctors didn't understand why. So now anytime there's a measles outbreak I have to be careful because the doctors say most people who get it twice die.

I think maybe the vaccine wasn’t prepared properly. Vaccines are just carcasses of diseases they put in so your body can identify them while the disease can’t hurt you

Maybe so , they've just never been able give a straight answer and I've always been curious.

people who were vaccinated and didn't have the same reaction actually help keep you safe during those outbreaks. The more people vaccinated the less of a chance it has to get to you and other people who aren't able to get the vaccine.

Of course having had it once already you've probably already developed antibodies for it. The point of vaccines is to allow your body to produce antibodies without having the full blown sickness. Having the full blown sickness does the same thing it's just way more annoying.

Sounds like your doctors are just fear-mongerers. Measles vaccine or the actual disease gives lifelong immunity, so it would be incredibly rare to get it twice. And people don't die from getting it twice since that is nearly impossible to happen. There is a rare encephalitis that people who had measles could get many years in the future, but it is rare. Just ensure your family and close contacts are vaccinated; you'll benefit from their protection. You can read up on herd immunity if you like. Stay safe.

It’s important to remember that vaccines do not necessarily make you immune to a disease, but it makes you much less likely to get the disease.
