Any guys out there trying to buy your first suit please don't buy a black suit. They're outdated, stiff, and really only appropriate for funerals. Also fit is king. It doesn't matter how expensive or cheap it is if it fits like a bag. Find a tailor. They're not expensive.

I actually have a nearly all black setup I can pull off. It's not emo though. It's actually probably my favorite suit setup I have. The shirt is pinstriped (only not jet black part). It also works with every single tie I have (and every shirt) so I can either use the black tie or spice it up with some color and a matching handkerchief.

If anything, don't make your first suit a white suit. THAT is a recipe for disaster.
