Actually you should always do, at least with your lick screen. That was if you loose your phone and it gets turned in/found you have proof it's yours.

I never lick my screen. My fingers have been all over it, and I know where my fingers have been. Also, how do you 'loose' a phone?

You can't just call your phone? Or call someone and have them call your phone? It's not that hard to prove it.
