The southern way to wave at a cop is by lifting two fingers off the steering wheel in a peace symbol. Anything more is suspicious.

OP probably uses those very same hands to clap when the airplane lands.

I wave all the fucking time... When going through the gate at my neighborhood people who have never been there look at me like "wtf?" but if it's during the day, driving past 4-5 people walking they get it... we all wave at each other... and it's not just white people.
