I mean, ubers drive their own cars and uber hardly helps in certain cases. Plus they shouldn't have to put up with unruly and dangerous people if they don't want to.
Actually I'm CA it's illegal to have drunk passengers as well so it's already here in USA...so drunks shouldn't drive but they're also not allowed to be passengers? What are we going to have to add a trunk option on uber?
I’m hoping what this means is that the driver will know the blood alcohol level of the potential rider.
Guys, my husband drives Uber and he’s had people puke all over (even though he is stocked with barf bags and offers them all the time), sneak in opened alcoholic beverages (illegal), leave drug paraphernalia in OUR FAMILY MINIVAN, and people have left their nearly passed out drunk friends for the last dropoff, putting him in a really difficult situation (one girl literally almost fell out after opening the door to get out - he had to reach back and grab her arm to keep that from happening, and another guy they left for last was so drunk he couldn’t even tell my husband where to take him and nobody had bothered to put in his address for him before taking off).
I think Uber drivers should be able to deny picking up super drunk people. They can always call a cab. Cabbies aren’t dealing with their own personal cars.
But yeah, fuck uber
