Wait isn't military time, as example saying 0600 instead of 6am and 1800 instead of 6pm, why should that be hard to read ?

You seen that video of the guy trying to tell the time while drunk? His wife says "You're drunk." He says "I am not fucking drunk." His wife then asks if he can tell the time. He turns towards the clock, points at it with his finger and says "I am not fucking drunk."

When she said military time I was confused and thought the phone was in the army or something since 24h clock is the norm here lol
McDonalds uses military time because employees would mix up am and PM. Or pretended to mix them up. So now I have all my electronics on military time to stay in practice

The concept of using AM and PM instead of just 24 hours never made sense to me, but that’s just because where I’m from 24 hours is the norm
I prefer military time... It requires no double-take at 8AM/PM... instead of either having to decipher the A vs P or go track the fucking sun.
AvP lol.

In germany all dates are officially given in 24 hr format, but people rarely use it in everyday life, there it's a mix of "xx minutes before or after yy hours". 10:15 is either called "viertel nach zehn" (quarter past 10) in the north or "viertel 11" (quarter 11) in the south. North for 10:45 is "a quarter before 11", in the south they would say "three quarters 11). If there is any uncertainty about am or pm, we add morgens (morningtime, midnight to noon), nachmittags (noon to 6 pm) or abends (evening, after 6 pm to midnight). Couldn't possibly be easier ;-p givden that we are religiously in time. German meaning of being in time is to be 15 minutes early. If you arrive exactly on time, people will say you barely made it
Don't even try to defend shit with german. Look at how you tried to just justify that... fucking nuts... It's a wonder the fucking autobahn works.... probably only because you all get so fucking confused with yourslef <--purposeful... the only the time there is traffic is because a broken clock is right twice.
Ok that was a dick move on my part... but I have a case.
Like is @halfdeadhammerhead trying to define a 12 point clock or a 24 hour clock? Is there even a 24 hour clock? And that is just where the confusion starts. I get a normal fucking clock, but then adding cardinal directions that are just.... british cunt magic?
And a morgen just sounds like a fucking mythical creature... don't fucking lie. It does.
And that's the NON-MYTHICAL SOUNDING FUCK-THING.... It's just crazy.
Don't get me wrong, I'd love to go to Hogwarts and run on this time... I just gotta fucking learn it.

I'm not even trying to defend or justify anything, I know it's a chaos. Germany is the country of a million rules but with hardly any fixed procedures and self-explaining due process. Which we're sort of compensating by elaborate philosophy and brilliant engineering. Actually, I guess all those complicated german things are meant to prevent foreigners from feeling at home here for as long as possible. I think the french are a little bit like that too.
<3 the engineering.
Again... not trying to be a dick.

The philosophy is even better, there's probably no other language in which you can express complicated and/or abstract matters more precisely. And to me you don't come across as a dick here, just very confused, and justifiably, too.

Morgen sounds like a mythical creature? Where I’m from, it sounds like morning
AvP lol.

I stand by what I said, even with my fucks.
