Maybe for kids. In my late 20’s and early 30’s I’d go to my friends house in the summer and she’d invite some friends over, we’d all hang out in a giant cheap inflatable pool in her back yard, have drinks, talk, and play games. It was a great way to all spend time together that allowed everyone to just relax and have regardless of their budget or problems. We’d spend all day in that pool, drag a tv out on the deck and watch movies, whatever. It was awesome and sometimes I wonder why we haven’t done it in so long.

That's awesome :) My husband and I bought a little pool for our son and he actually loves it, and so do we! In the summer we hangout and play in it with him, then when he goes to bed my husband and I chill on the deck in the pool, talk, and watch the stars come out

Awww. I’m glad to hear I’m not the only one, and glad to hear that you and your husband get a sweet and romantic use out of it. Imagination and state of mind do more to determine how much fun a thing or situation may be than just the bare details. Another use we found for the kiddie pool is to fill it with ice and water, then place packaged hot dogs and canned drinks in it. For a small gathering of 2-a few friends you can set up a small grill nearby and soak/cook/enjoy your beverages all afternoon. Throw in a portable awning or well placed sun umbrella and you’re in business to avoid sun burn!
