I hate the posts mocking this, they are clearly from people who are not parents. When you have a kid you operate on an entirely different plain of sleep deprivation and exhaustion. It’s horrific that this happens and it breaks my heart, but being a parent I understand how it could. Suggesting that parents take extra precautions is not a bad thing, especially if it can save a child.
Agreed on the extra precautions in general but I had a three and half year period because two kids where I didn’t sleep more than 4 hours at a time and I never got close to forgetting my kid in a car. If you do that you’re a fucking idiot.
Still the question is there: after you leave the vehicle how could you forget that one thing that keeps you sleep deprived? I mean think about it if a person of any influence of exhaustion could forget their child in a heated car for a long period of time, wouldn't something in your head alarm you to go bonkers? Like it seems too quite in here today... Wait I have kids!
