Maybe 'Just don't be a dick' would be clearer to everyone.

If I ever criticize someone's defense of something like, say, Suicide Squad, I am not telling that person that they cannot enjoy Suicide Squad on the grounds that they've presented. If it works for them, more power to them. But if they say, "I enjoyed Suicide Squad because the dynamic character interactions and action scenes were very well done," my response of, "I thought the character interactions were poorly written and felt the action sequences were uninspired," is not some kind of statement that nobody should be allowed to enjoy those things no matter how mediocre. It's mostly just me saying that no, those things were NOT well done. If you still enjoyed them personally, then that's all well and good, yo.
Enjoy Suicide Squad all you want but it was pretty terrible. That's not some kind of criticism of you as a person. I love the movie Eight Legged Freaks even though it's total nonsense that has no redeeming qualities. I just love big spiders.
