Yeah, I'm not sure exactly when Disney picked up marvel, but i'm pretty sure marvel was never under universal

Universal owns the theme park rights for many of the marvel characters. They actually have a whole section of universal studios that is marvel themed. That deal was before Disney bought Marvel Comics.
