depends if you believe in a higher power that controls everything or not :/

... Not really? Your belief may influence how you think about it, but your belief doesn't influence reality outside of you.

The question insinuates that there are any other options for the "roll" where there are none. For something to be predetermined there has to be other "possible" options and with the dream the roll only exists for the fraction of a frame where you see or hear about the roll's results which isn't actually a roll and is your brain picking a number on the spot with no prethought nor any randomness.

Your brain picking a number on the spot is a synonym for randomness. Nothing seems to be truly random (Except quantum stuff, but that's outside this realm of thought). Randomness is essentially when the equation gets so large with so many variables that humans aren't capable of seeing any correlation/causation in the result. But it is still an equation and is fixed - hence not random.

Yeah. That one still bugs me, but apparently "dice" is becoming acceptable now, according to whatever Google returns for "singular of dice". Friends with whom I play board games would regularly say "you roll one less dice because X". Grmbl fewer die grmbl. I'm French, they're British and American, how hard can it be?

Dunno, it's never the same dice or number when I look back.

It is going to keep rolling and never settle in your dream...

Nah, it rolls and stops and shows .. something. But if I look away it's always something else and a different dice when I look back.
