unpopular opinion: I played VRChat for a while, and even though they made a shit load of cringy stuff (mostly on youtube), I kinda miss the ugandan knuckles. They were fun little weirdos
It would've been a nice film of they took the time to make a good story for her motherhood but not much to go for in this story line. I would assume she became queen though, in my recollection they call her queen.
Maybe because the plot had to do with Ariel basically becoming a combination of Marlin from finding Nemo, and Elsa's parents from Frozen, freaking out because something bad happened that one time and building a wall between humans and the menfolk and withholding all information about their mermaid heritage from her daughter instead of educating her
In one of the original storyboards, Scar actually tries to force Nala to be his queen and give him heirs. She rejects him and defies him openly. Her mother also tries to stand up for her, but Scar has the hyenas drive Nala from the pride lands, much like they did to Simba. Combine that with the actual story, and she ends up searching for food for the starving lionesses back in the pride lands and stumbles upon Simba instead.
She actually probably does more to save the pride than Simba does in the long run
