My daughter's imaginary friends was Max and Ruby from the cartoon Max and Ruby lol. Ruby would also be on her and Max to be good she said and she and Ruby always have to get after Max for being bad like she said Max told her it was ok to go play in the front yard and lay down in the street. -.- thank God Ruby told them it was bad to do -.- thanks Ruby. We told her if Max kept being a bad friend she can't play with him anymore so Max became good after that.

I gotta ask this, How do people have imaginary friends? I never had one, neither did my friends. Sure, I talked to myself a lot, but I was talking to myself. I do that now too. But, I really never got how people have imaginary friends, and is it a good or bad thing if you didn't had them?
@spookykink57 for me, I didn't have "imaginary friends" so much as I had imaginary "ghosts" of my existing friends to keep me company when my friends couldn't be there. I'd say I saw my free time as an opportunity to make a story of my life, and a story needs characters, so I'd add some. I was a writer from a very young age, so that may explain my thought process. It would be kind of "hmm, I'm on a long car ride right now. That's not exciting. What is exciting is if I was playing make-believe with a friend! I'll pick So-and-so. I want to play make-believe that we're pirates, but there needs to be some conflict, so I'll have her want to make-believe that we should be space explorers. Actually, we'd probably come up with a better space explorer story than a pirate story, so I'll have her win the argument." I can't speak for everyone, but that's how I remember myself having imaginary friends.
Well she was an only child and so she just when she play pretend she always say it was Max and Ruby playing with her.
It be like having a discussion of what you want to say to someone like you are practicing and you answer with what you think they would say.

Ah, so it's just a conversation. They don't always stay together like, all the time.
I imagine in some way imaginary friends are just childrens' ways of assigning a name/voice/personality to the different voices of their conscious mind. It's not so different from assigning a personality to a stuffed animal or such Like, we all have a conscience. We all have little arguments in our heads about what decision is right or what is wrong and why.
Some psychologists have found they are much more common in children that are the oldest or only child, as well as ones who have little exposure to television/electronics etc. I'd take this to mean it's also a way of relieving boredom, and the brain trying to self-teach socialization skills during it's idle moments when actual socialization is less of an option.
Then again this is mostly just conjecture on my part
When I was a kid I used to dream about this woman that sat on my ceiling and told amazing stories. When I was twelve I described her to my mom, and she turned out to be my great grandmother when she was young... I hadn't seen her face before. Which wasn't terrifying at all.
When I was little I told my mom about a fairy I was seeing in my room. I described her and my mom went and got her friend’s ID who had died in a car crash. It was her
You think that is creepy.
My cousins son was in 1st grade and in a school play. They recorded it and when they were watching the tape you can see he is holding his hand like he is holding someone's hand and swaying it back and forth like kids do when they hold hands and he giggles like someone told him a secret than waves to his mom in the crowd. So they asked him what was that and he said that is my sister Jaden. They said what do you mean your sister you don't have a sister. (At the time he was an only child) he said YES I DO JADEN SAID SHE IS MY SISTER. She is my big sister and I love her. So we they said describe her he said she looks like mommy but she is black. That is where my cousin fainted.
4 years before he was born my cousin was dating a guy and she got pregnant. It was to be a girl and yes though my cousin is white the father was black. And they picked the name Jaden lee but she lost the baby at 8 months and the baby was cremated. NO ONE EVER TOLD HIM ABOUT JADEN.
No one ever talks about Jaden either. Out of respect for my cousin. Because it destroyed her so after she got help to get over her grief she asked us all to never speack of Jaden again and we never did. So he couldn't of just over heard someone. NO ONE TOLD HIM yet he knew her.
What is more creepy is he was asked where he met her and he said in mom's closet. See in a tiny silk bag with no writing on the bag or on the box that it holds is Jaden's ashes and it is in the top of her closet.
So yeah that scared the shit out of all of us.
