Dont know who's downvoting yall, but you guys are right. The serpent managed to fool Eve into eating the apple and she managed Adam to eat it as well. The part that he swallowed became lodged in his throat, thus the Adam's Apple.
It is true though that Adam would not have eaten the fruit if Eve hadn't told him to

But we weren't in trouble until Adam ate it. He was the one who was given, not only dominion, but also the one given the law not to eat the fruit. While there is some debate on whether the law simply didn't apply to Eve, Eve wad unaware of the lae, or the covenant wasn't broken until Adam, as the patriarch broke the law. It is a common belief among theologians that Eves eating the fruit wouldn't have caused the fall. It was only when Adam took thd bite that we were screwed.
Any time this comes up I'm always reminded of the post from some time back where it says the reason it got stuck in Adams throat is because god jumped out of the bushes screaming "WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING"
