"Lives"

Zombies are alive, but they do not live. Living in some circumstances requires one to live their lives to the fullest. Zombies don't do that. I feel bad for them now

By that logic, Dr. Ew, There are plenty of zombies already in the world today.

a zombie is something that is dead that is being controlled by something else. A virus in must cases but in fantasy media it's usually magic but in none of them is it the zombie that's alive but the thing controlling it that lives (tho some scientists thing that viruses arent actually anything more than complex molecules not worthy of the term "life")
