Of course it exists, otherwise the blue part of the flag should also be at the bottom

The blue is more buoyant than the red liquid it floats on top but the stars make it dip below the red slightly.

One must learn WHY things work on a starship. Gravity is very important, but isn’t the only force- and by present theory is the weakest of all fundamental forces.
