Some people shouldn't be allowed pets. I rescued my siamese from two little girls trying to drown him because he had just grown out of the cute kitten stage so they no longer wanted him. They actually tried to tell me he tried to drown himself. Little monsters. He's 15 now.

one of the friends of my family liberated a dog from owners that weren't feeding her or paying any attention to her at all. Idk how old she is but she's a cute little happy thing that'll bounce around you until you give her pats.

Understandably Pilgrim (I rescued him the day before Thanksgiving and my mom named him) has never been fond of children, my nephews did not help on that front, but for some reason he has formed an extremely tight bond with my 5 year old daughter. He sleeps with her, follows her, even defends her when she's in trouble. I never would have called that.
