I don’t think they would, because it’s easier to ride a pre-existing wave of hype than to survive on reviews alone

The trick is not to watch the final trailer since it reveals too much. I didn't watch the last one for the fantastic beasts

That's what I do with Marvel movies. See the first or second trailer then refrain from all others.

Instead of a movie it's just them acting out all the fan art and fan made scenes

I would LOVE THIS. I avoid trailers more and more nowadays because they keep giving away too much of the movie. Let me be surprised, dammit!

Depends on if inverse amounts of marketing does anything for them, and I don't think they'll even begin to try that.
