I like how despite their massive history of war the one time they lose and surrender its like during the biggest most influential and well known war in history. Like I mean they have an amazing history in war and it all was immediately forgotten because of ww2.

I didn't agree with this when it was on where and I don't agree with it now; unklethan's example is better.

Not necessarily a badass quote, but my favorite military quote comes from a union general during the American civil war: as his soldiers were lining up, the confederates were shooting at them. He said, “don’t worry, boys, the rebels couldn’t hit at an elephant at this dist-“ he didn’t get to finish his sentence because he was shot in the head by a confederate.
