How much effort would it have taken to move all those logs though? It took a lot of work to move it, but it took less work than without it.

I'm gonna say no to that. Unless that dude was moving alot of firewood, he may have I don't know, that would not be worth the effort. Now if he had used one of those little plastic kid slides to do the same thing I would say that was definitely smart. In fact with just a little planning there are tons of things he could have used that would be way easier to move than a treadmill. Things that would have required even less effort on his part. Like not having to bend down.

He seems like he cut that wood himself. If he is doing that, then it's very likely that he has a lot of wood he needs to move. Also, a slide wouldn't move the logs very well due to the small entrance as well as it will very easily get stuck.

Nothing in the gif shows anything to indicate he cut, or didn't cut, it himself. A kids slide made so kids can slide down is plenty big to slide the wood while also being narrower than that treadmill so there is no reason the wood would get stuck.

That's where you're wrong. If you see someone walking away from a dumpster, then there's nothing to show that he did, or didn't, put something inside of it. However, you can still rightly assume that he did. In a more complex manner, this man found it reasonable to move a heavy object to move multiple lighter objects. He is at least smart enough to find a solution for moving multiple semi-heavy objects by moving a heavier object. With this in mind, we can reason that he would not have moved the heavier object without him knowing that we would be moving quite a large amount of logs.

That's incorrect logic. You're making the assumption based on negative information. Without more information you cannot conclude he cut the wood himself, maybe he did, maybe he bought it, maybe a friend cut it, we don't know. Case in point the dumpster scenario you just mentioned. If a man is walking with something in his hand and is later seen walking away from a dumpster without that something it would be reasonable to assume he may have put it inside. Simply walking away from a dumpster is not enough evidence from which to draw a reasonable hypothesis. He may just have been walking. It is certainly obvious the man intended to lessen his physical burden in helping move the logs. First he's using a small window in his, presumably, basement. Second, he put in place and secured power for the treadmill. That's not really the point. The issue being did he in fact make less work for himself than he could have by not using the tread mill? This answer depends entirely on how much

wood he was moving, and how much effort was needed to move the treadmill into place and then put it back. As I stated in my first reply if he was moving alot it would be less effort. It would have been even less effort if his means of moving the wood were by utilizing something that while just as effective was much easier to put into place and remove. One of these https://sc02.alicdn.com/kf/HTB1EJyWKVXXXXcFXVXXq6xXFXXXS/plastic-kids-play-slide-plastic-slide-for.jpg or something like it would have been just as effective and take much less effort to use. Now maybe he didn't have one, that's okay, just as I said with a little planning something much easier to put in place and remove could have been used. Treadmills are generally a pain to move about and that's not even considering moving it around outside.

and then you have double the work.nice. first putting the stuff on the treadmill..then get down and put everything on his spot. the machine just drops them everywhere..and you need to pick it up after again. so it's double the work and time.
