She doesn't like you "like you" she likes the idea of you. And trust me you don't need someone like that. She is still to clueless how love really works.
There's a big difference between being clueless and having her own view on the matter. She knows what she feels and is in no way saying it's the classical form of love. These two things can't be compared.
She is clueless she still thinks that fictional love is better than real love. Real love is not that first feeling when you fall in love that doesn't last. Real love is being able to be open to the person and not thinking am I giving to much info out about myself. Love is rolling over in the middle of the night seeing the love of your life sleeping waking them up to say you need help to fall asleep and know they won't yell but comfort you till you fall asleep. Love is eating bad food they cook and smiling because you don't want to hurt their feelings. It is looking at each other when the other looks thier worse but say the right thing to make them laugh. It is giving up so many things and not caring as long as they are happy and they do the same. It is so many things but it is not and I repeat NOT...
"I love you as a romantic idea."
ONLY FICTIONAL CHARACTERS DO THAT!!!!
So YEAH she is CLUELESS how love works. She needs to grow up.
The only thing I'll say is that romantic love is not the only type of love. Almost all of us know this feeling since we're children. She probably knows this, and still. Plus, what you're describing sounds like friendship to me, and there's more in romance. But heh if you're happy with your basic views then so be it.
I wish i wouldve done this... Not for that reason But, me and my super close friend confessed we liked each other and started dating. I fell and he didn't.... Now we dont speak and even the happiest memories with him are tinged with pain.... I miss him so much and i regret dating him so much.
