I have actually met people who say DONT CALL ME MEXICAN I AM HISPANIC. I say ok well may I ask where you are from? (They have a thick accent and I love to learn about people's backgrounds so I ask this about everyone) 99% of them say they are from Mexico. (-.-)

hispanic is just a term for spanish speaking people from latin america. A lot of them are probably from families that aren't originally from Mexico maybe moved north from Guatemala or Belize. A lot of people are the same way in america about such things.

Nope.... "spanish speaking people from latin america". Not from Latin America, not from family originally from Mexico, Guatemala or Belize. Yet, I am Hispanic!

That's a quick worded definition of Hispanic. Saying your Hispanic when you aren't of any relation to a Spanish speaking area is just not correct

I prefer the term ‘Central South North American.’
