It doesn’t really get much better with age alone. You just either tend to get too busy with life to focus on it, or you find something you care about and invest in it, and then you’re more concerned with getting to your goal than thinking about where you should be. In your 20’s you’ve been rushed most of your life. Rush through school, gotta get that degree and get working, pay off those loans, get your caree started. Rush through that, gotta hustle if you want to make it past entry level work. It’s a game of “hurry up and wait” because once you’re out it becomes “there are no shortcuts to success...” and at a large company it can take 5-10 years to get a promotion below executive level. For a 20yo that’s 1/4 to 1/2 your life. Like working out, eating right, learning a skill- for most people it’s about making tiny gains constantly over long periods. At 20, you’ve not had 2 years as an official adult to do anything. Don’t compare yourself to people, Set a goal and go for it. Be patient.

Very true. Almost everyone knows that a good camera and a good photographer can make anyone or anything look amazing frozen in a moment in time, frames in the best possible light. That’s how we see other people’s lives through our eyes and social media. We see snap shots, moments. We don’t see the 401k’s or the credit card bills. We don’t see the stress of countless hours of work or when and where they say “no,” to going out, or in what they eat, or the places where they skimp on money. We see the “best” view of them and assume it’s like that all the time and they don’t have the problems we do or problems at all. You can’t compare yourself to others of for no other reason than you don’t rwally know what their life is like. You Only know what they choose to show, and most people only show their “best” side off. Just do you. Social media is like a commercial for a person, and commercials are bullshit. When have you ever bought a burger that looked as good as it did in the ad?
