Nirvana, I swear. I love that quick drop in water temperature; it's like taking two showers in one. A hot one to warm up, a cold one to cool down. It's Heaven.
Some of these are scientifically verifiable and some less so. But water temp can do some interesting things. Cooler water tends to be healthier for washing hair. Cooler water helps “close” pores and hair follicles. Washing hair in colder water helps avoid damage. If you contact something like poison ivy or another skin irritant that ISN’T WATER REACTIVE and is not an acid or other substance requiring chemical neutralization- wash with COLD water as soon as possible. The cold water will help close up pores and slow the amount of irritant that makes it into the skin.
