Why are you under the age of 18?

I assume it meant "explain why you are applying to the job while under 18" but someone didn't proof read their work

eg. Because it's 2018 now and I was born in 2001

I am not yet 18 because, according to the heliocentric model of the solar system, the earth has not made 18 complete revolutions around the sun on an ecliptical path. I understand that my previous statement answers the ‘how’ but not the ‘why’ of the question asked because that was my intent. Unfortunately, I am not well versed in the philosophical, socio-cultural and/or ethical dynamics on the causal chain that leads to an individual becoming eligible to be called an 18 year old. I still believe I am qualified for the job of “flipping burgers” at your esteemed fast food establishment, for what I lack in age, I make up with the desperate fervor of a man being crushed by the combined weight of student loans and evaporating employment opportunities.
