agreed. i had friends like this, so recently i decided to go separate ways with them. If this is true for you, i also advise you to stop hanging around with that kind of assholes. They would only try to suck out all the good profitable things from you, and never return the favor. They do not know how to thank others. Most likely they'll never use a single penny until you ask them to do so later
I mean, I wouldn't go as far as to stop hanging out with them. My friend from the navy never worked before he joined and I always paid for his meals because his parents were never home and never gave him money. After he joined he had so much to spend he basically paid for all our meals and tickets to go watch movies. Dude was just broke, tried to pay me back, told him not to worry and never charged him a single thing. I just wanted him to join in on our group of 4 and have fun. Hes just a really close friend.
I do understand there are really toxic people out there, and cutting them off is the best way, but I never really experienced that. Kinda glad I didnt.
oooh boy. It's like at first you do not realize it happening and then one day, it strikes you. When that happens, you just go into some sort of depression(?) i should say, because of realizing that you weren't a friend that you thought you were to them. You were basically just another way of calling the "wallet"... I'm also glad you didn't experience this.. its a terrible feeling

Me: I'm broke
Friend: Me too bro, me too.
