Do you ever wonder if the cashier scanning your items is silently judging you?

I work in a bank occasionally and I can confirm that the only time we really judge you is when you call up and yell at us because you’re wondering why your credit card was cancelled, even though you only had $17 in your account and you were trying to buy a washing machine.

Can confirm. Getting yelled at because we won't let your account go any more negative isn't any fun, and the judgment is instant.

My bank literally judges me openly. They send me break downs that categorize all my monthly purchases on a pie chart and then they show me what they think it should look like, and put little comments like “try and spend less on food and entertainment.” Or: “You spent a lot on transportation and auto thins month!” Throwing shade.
