This is actually a true story, but the thing is he didn’t fall in love with her for that reason, she came from a different village in which they allowed toilets to be inside houses, and she was an educated and strong-willed woman who wasn’t afraid to use her voice. The village he lived in (also the one she loved to once they got married) had laws (based on religion) that they could not have toilets inside their houses. She didn’t know about this until after they got married... and the whole point of the movie is that to begin with, it was a love (not an arranged marriage) and he loved her so much, he went and fought against the entire village (including his own father) for her, to make a home that she would be comfortable in.

Yes, it's actually a good movie so people can be aware of how poor hygiene is in some remote places of India as bigger cities take every thing for granted
