He's sad because his inbreeding and horrible traits gives him the inability to breathe well enough to swim much less breathe while doing so. Plus his stubby feet give him very little ability to swim. Maybe give him a little floatie.

Bulldogs are not good swimmers. More than likely he can't swim. Many bulldogs just sink.

I believe it's do to their short feet and poor breathing abilities. They can't get enough lift to stay above the water and they run out of breath to do so very quickly.

Also do to their torso size as well. Now there is some bulldogs that can swim. But it is safer for that bulldog on the other side of the fence. Unless he had a life vest. I have seen bulldogs that are able to swim just like a kid in a floatie lol
