If the person is older than me I really hate when they call me ma'am. I think you should only call people older than you Ma'am or Sir.

I do as well but I was raised when a older person calls you ma'am or sir it was usually because you have done something to get in trouble lol.
That is why I hate when someone older than me calls me ma'am.

I'm quite young and I gush when people at work call me 'Sir'. Well I live and work in a posh area so it's to be expected
