When I was little, my mom broke her favorite wooden spoon paddling my butt. Hoo boy, I was in way worse trouble after that!

I just can't imagine one breaking, but then we never had those tiny handled ones like the one in the picture. Ours have always had the big bulky handle almost as wide as the spoon.

We have a saying in Afrikaans 'roer jou gat' witch translates to 'stir your ass' which means hurry up. I find it very relatable!!

In Hungarian, wooden spoon translates to fakanal. Just something to let ya know.
