Me, in my pajamas, housecoat, slippers, and coat: sorry, I was just heading out the door!

They just told you- put on a coat! Then, you look slightly crazy and they’ll not want to stay anyway.

Where does she think this is? Canada? The queens tea gazebo? No one I know would be likely to give 2 shits, and the type of person you don’t want to see is almost certainly the type of person who would say “that’s ok- I could use a walk, I’ll come along.” And now you need to think up a fake place to go for no damn reason. Here’s my tip- Install a freaking peep hole in your door like a modern human so you can check if you want to see them or not. Better yet- go 21st century. Don’t answer your door. Anyone who knows you will call or text to tell you they’re at the door and you can answer or ignore from there. Anyone really important who you don’t know, won’t likely go away. Or just.... sack up and answer your door and tell people you don’t want to see that you aren’t in the mood for visitors. Do it enough and people will just plain stop coming to your house unannounced at all and the problem is solved. Woot.

On second reading I see how that could come off rather aggressively. It was more intended ina somewhat dry and sarcastic mostly even tone with hints of playfulness as opposed to a rant. But I see it looks sort of like a manifesto about answering the door.

Gotta admit, am kind of disappointed. I thought we'd finally found the topic that gets you truly fired up and angry. Was a little surprised it was answering doors, but nevertheless

Lol. No, sorry to disappoint. Sometimes I just have a way of speaking (or writing) that makes people think I’m upset,
