My youngest brother's 3rd grade teacher did this for his class. But she kept all the letters. And they year all her students were 20 she mailed them all out.
My brother got his in the mail and inside the letter was a small sealed letter saying not to open to 20. Inside that was his letter.
He wrote:
Are we still alive?
Hope so!
Are we married?
Does our wife work at Hooters?
I bet she is hot!
Are we rich?
If yes than how come our wife works at Hooters?
You are a terrible husband!
He wrote alot more lol but it was pretty much like that lol
My favorite was he asked if he remembered where he buried the money from his piggy bank. But on the back of the paper in small print he wrote I see we are still stupid because we never have money.
My brother honest to God thought he buried money and forgot about it. He pawned himself.
Lmfao
That is so sweet and cute! The teacher is awesome for actually going through with that project.
Me and my sister also do 'time capsules' like this after having big delirious conversations (usually at night when we're both heavily sleep-deprived) we sometimes write down the highlights and put them in this box we'll open on May 15 2021 (aka 10 years after the 1st letters) to have a good laugh. When we're not together she's keeping the box and I'm keeping the key just to be sure we don't timetravel without each other.
Right now I only remember one about all the things we could do with the carcass of a giant horse, which included living in it. So, far less cute than your brother's story.
