All the crows I've encountered don't avoid people they dislike. People they identify as mean are often dive-bombed and cawed at on a regular basis.. Crows tend to be territorial and dislike "predators" and threats invading their space. I've seen them try and take on an entire family (5+) of falcons, cats, magpies, and humans
