My favorite books only exist on the internet though.
I'm reading a fanfiction that has such amazing quality that it really deserves to have been a published work. I wish I knew the name of this author because they have to have even more works. Excellence like this is crafted through numerous failures and is followed by many successes.
When I was in highschool I took interior design. (Don't ask me why lol I have no clue)
One assignment was go through magzines and find a room and write how you would remodel it.
People picked normal rooms, I picked a library. Lol I found one of this elderly woman in Greece who had this room filled to the roof on every wall of books.
I wrote how I would place hardwood floors with soft browns. The walls would be soft colors so they don't stand out. The windows would be replaced enlarged to let more natural light in. How I would place large rugs over lapping, large chairs draped with soft warm fussy blankets all through the room. And all lamps would be either beside the chairs or a small over head light to read the titles of the books at the shelfs. Each chair would have a night stand so you can place your cup on with a small glass jar for your snacks.
The teacher picked one to draw the layout and it was mine. She said it was so cozy she will use it for her library at home. And she did
“Knowledge equals power...
Power equals energy...
People ... thought the Library was a dangerous place because of all the magical books, which was true enough, but what made it really one of the most dangerous places there could ever be was the simple fact that it was a library.
Energy equals matter...
Matter equals mass.
And mass distorts space. It distorts it into polyfractal L-space." the late, great Terry Pratchett knew the power of books.
