The leadership of the baby boomer generation taught the millennial generation that college was what made them successful. The demand increased. The supply couldn't keep up. Prices increased.

That said, nobody has to go to college. It's become an expectation, even though it has a remarkably low yield.
College is something successful people did on their way to being successful, they would have been successful in life regardless. People viewed this backwards and confused causation and correlation. Now there’s millions of dumb people, paying administrators to make them dumber.
You trying to tell me that Yale is the only place to get an education ? shop around, use coupons, lots of options. Any excuse not to blame yourself for failing
I mean, I'm taking extra steps to ensure this doesn't happen to me, I might not even go to college but i'll still have plenty of good career choices. Another persons debt is honestly not my problem.
No one is holding a gun to your head making you go to college. I spent two years at collage and got an associate's degree from it and man was that a waste of time and money
If you’re working minimum wage and going to Yale, you deserve to be poor and in debt. Those 2 things are not aligned.
I put myself through school - my tuition was only about $25000 a year, and I made all the money I needed in the 4 months between every academic year.
