Okay, what? I've worked in IT long enough to have seen everything and I'm relatively certain this is staged. I think the tower is an old Dell Optiplex GX260. If you click on the right thumbnail in Step 1 of this page, you'll see what I mean:

In the pic here, the power supply should be in the upper left corner but it's been neatly removed. If there was a fire or meltdown, the case would be badly charred right there. But if the power supply was neatly removed, nothing was there to drive the reaction needed to melt all the plastic in the first place.
,
Cool picture, though! I'm a fan of anything that makes me question my sanity for a minute :)
Is that why we get along? Hahaha

So, I've been looking more at this pic and I noticed the black plastic is missing from the bottom (left side) of the tower. If I were making this, I would have melted that piece on a flat sheet and smooshed in a couple heatsinks, the gray IDE cable, and some power supply cables while it was bubbling. Then while it was cooling, I would have mixed in some red paint and called it a day. You can actually see red paint on the bench in front of the tower.
,
After it cooled, you could carefully prop the sheet into the empty case and snap the picture.
,
It really does look like a doorway to the Upside Down though!

"I'm a fan of anything that makes me question my sanity" -- That explains why we get on, then
